Sitting the TEF cold is an expensive way to find out what you didn't know. This is the same test under the same clock, with someone who marks these for a living sitting across from you. Book Speaking, Writing, or both. Speaking runs as the real thing: the prompts, the timing, the interruptions. Writing works the other way round — you send your script in beforehand and your thirty minutes is spent going through it line by line, while the reasons are still fresh.
